These next few months are shaping up to be a busy time at Waredaca and we want to make sure you mark your calendars with all the important dates! From pairing up with a new charity for the Classic Three-Day Event, fundraisers, EEC Talks, clinics and horse trials, there’s something for everyone to participate in!

Waredaca End Breast CancerMay 19th – ‘3-2-1 GO! End Breast Cancer’ Fundraiser

Waredaca’s Classic Three-Day Event and Fall Horse Trials held October 20th-23rd, 2016 is excited to announce the creation of ‘3-2-1 GO! End Breast Cancer’ in an effort to raise funds that will directly support research efforts at the Johns Hopkins Breast Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Waredaca’s first fundraising event will occur on Thursday, May 19th at the Waredaca Brewing Company where $1 of every pint sold plus 100% of the tips and money raised from the silent auction from this event will be donated directly to the Johns Hopkins Breast Center. The event will feature a silent auction with items such as: a lesson with Olympian, Stephen Bradley; a clinic entry at Waredaca with U.S. Eventing Team Coach, David O’Connor; an Under Armor prize pack complete with items from their new line, and much more! Ever wonder why cross-country course designers put this fence or that one on any specific course? On May 31st, go for a ‘coursewalk’ with Robert Butts and Jeff Kibbie, both licensed ‘r’ Eventing Course Designers, and Steph Kohr and Katherine Rizzo, both certified lower level eventing course designers, as they do a walking discussion of lower level philosophy and course design. Whether you’re a competitor or would love to spend the day out in country, Waredaca’s horse trials have become a staple in Area II. Known for inviting courses, a friendly staff and generous volunteers Waredaca continues to host successful horse trials over three weekends every year. June 14th & August 16th – David O’Connor Expert Days

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the United States Eventing Team Head Coach, David O’Connor. David has competed internationally for the United States Equestrian Team since the late 1980’s, beginning at the 1986 CCI*** Alternate World Championship in Bialy Bor, Poland, on Border Raider. Since then he has earned 3 Olympic Medals, 2 Pan American Games Medals, and two  World Equestrian Games Medals. He’s won Rolex twice as a three-star and once as a four-star. He’s won the Fair Hill International CCI*** five times, and in 1997, he became only the second American in history to win the coveted Badminton CCI****.
